What Type Of Hair Does Dominic Scott Kay Have

"Present or Future?

For one day, changing the theme of the blog, the post is dedicated to programming languages \u200b\u200bfor mobile devices.

The change is due to the worldwide launch of Windows Embedded CE 6.0 R2 via Webcast from the Microsoft website (15/11/2007).

What is WinCE Embedded?

Windows Embedded CE is a different version of Windows designed for mobile devices only (componetizada well) and built from scratch for this purpose. It is smaller than XP Embedded coming to have at least 300KB (40MB vs XPe). The release 5 was the one that has so far been included in various devices such as thin clients , medical equipment, digital cameras, VOIP phones and other, with version 6, announces the launch of a new generation (including a new kernel that would the 3rd) of specialized versions of CE. It is designed for different x86 architectures as well as ARM, MIPS.

You can take EC and adjusted to a specific platform. An example is the EC-specific version for mobile phones and PDAs called Windows Mobile is developed by Microsoft that turns specific phones / PDAs and adjusts to different hardware. Windows Mobile is twofold: to smartphones (which seem to have advanced phone and PDA) and Pocket PC (which seem PDA but they are also phones and have a touch screen).

The latest version is Windows Mobile 5 (aka Magneto) Service Pack 2 (which includes functionality "type blackberry to check email) and is working to release a new version soon still known by its codename Crossbow.

What's new in the new version?

Microsoft offers new capabilities of Windows Embedded CE 6.0 R2 for service-oriented devices, smart and connected.

- The first point and one of the most interesting, is the new OS deployment which add support for devices with "Web Services on Devices". WSD
The standard provides a protocol to detect that Web services gives us a new device that incorporates to our network.
Broadly the methodology used is an exchange of packets between the mobile device with WinCE and developed application that needs to communicate this to share that Web services can offer and how to interact with.

For example, for our application development expands the range of possibilities. With a camera that supports WSD can take a picture in a particular place and time and it can connect to a blog, space or photo frame that we set in the dining room of our house, so to IMMEDIATE update.

With this protocol the user has to interact, but developing a practical application communicate with the devices concerned, they automatically interact (software talking to software) .

- New VoIP video telephony capabilities. Allow device manufacturers to quickly and easily add exciting device scenarios such as VoIP, videos and audios of three paths to existing CE 6.0 designs.

- Improvements in Internet Explorer and support Windows Media Player OCX 7. The release offers significantly faster performance of web sites and pages, and improved sound device with new support for rich text editing and the new ActiveX Control.

- New pluggable font editor. With new plug-in technology support for editing fonts, Windows Embedded CE 6.0 R2 provides OEMs much wider selection of editors to use third-party sources as they develop devices with even smaller footprints.

- ultimate components of thin client technology with auto-detection performance. These help thin clients seamlessly connect to the latest version and key features of Windows Server 2008.
